Indianapolis International Airport is the largest Airport in Indiana and it is owned and operated by the Indianapolis Airport Authority what was established n 1962. The passanger terminal was the first de-signed and built in the United States after the September 11 attacks in 2001. The airport is also home to a FedEx Express hub, the company`s 2nd largest after the SuperHub at Memphis International Airport. Opened in 1988, the hub has been expanded three times.
The Airport opened in 1931. In 2015 handled almost 8 million passengers and 1,084,857 metric tonnes of cargo.
